General
What is Vridi?
Vridi is an invoice discounting investment platform. We enable verified investors to fund invoice-backed deals originated by credit-evaluated MSMEs, earning attractive short-term returns.
Is Vridi regulated?
All investor funds are held in licensed escrow accounts — not by Vridi directly. All borrowers are credit-evaluated by Kredy, our institutional credit engine, before any deal is published.
Who can invest on Vridi?
Indian residents above 18 years of age with a valid PAN, Aadhaar, and bank account. NRI investing is not currently supported.
Investing
What is the minimum investment amount?
The minimum investment per deal is ₹50,000. The maximum is ₹1,00,000 per investor per deal.
Can I invest in multiple deals at the same time?
Yes. You can invest in as many open deals as you like, subject to per-deal limits. Diversification across deals, borrowers, and risk ratings is strongly recommended.
How long are deals typically open for investment?
Most deals remain open for 3–7 days before they are fully funded. Once a deal is funded, it enters the disbursement stage.
What happens if a deal is not fully funded?
If a deal does not reach its funding target by the deadline, all invested amounts are returned to investors' wallets in full.
Returns
How are returns calculated?
Returns = Investment Amount × Annualized Discount Rate × (Tenure in Days / 365). For example, ₹50,000 at 13% for 90 days = ₹1,602 gross return.
When are returns credited?
Returns are credited to your wallet on the deal's maturity date, once the borrower repays. You can then reinvest or withdraw.
Are returns guaranteed?
No investment is guaranteed. Invoice discounting carries credit risk — the primary risk being borrower default. Vridi mitigates this through rigorous credit evaluation by Kredy and escrow protection, but cannot eliminate default risk entirely.
Is TDS deducted on returns?
TDS may be applicable on returns above threshold limits as per applicable Income Tax rules. Vridi provides Form 16A for TDS deducted. Consult your tax advisor for specifics.
KYC
What documents do I need for KYC?
PAN card, Aadhaar card (for identity + address), and a cancelled cheque or bank statement for bank account verification. The process is fully digital via Digio eSign.
How long does KYC take?
KYC is typically completed within 24–48 business hours after document submission. Expedited verification is available for most users.
Can I invest before completing KYC?
You can browse deals without KYC, but you must complete KYC before committing to any investment.
Withdrawals
How do I withdraw funds?
Go to Wallet → Withdraw. Enter the amount and your bank account details will be pre-filled from KYC. Withdrawals are processed via NEFT/RTGS to your registered bank account.
How long do withdrawals take?
Withdrawals are typically processed within 1–2 business days. Same-day processing is available for requests before 2:00 PM on business days.
Can I withdraw funds that are locked in active deals?
No. Once invested in a deal, funds are locked until the deal matures. You can only withdraw from your available wallet balance.
Safety
Is my investment capital safe?
Your capital flows through regulated escrow accounts — not through Vridi's own accounts. This means Vridi cannot use or misappropriate your funds. However, capital is subject to the credit risk of underlying borrowers.
What happens if Vridi shuts down?
Because funds are held in escrow by independent licensed trustees, they are ring-fenced from Vridi's own assets. The trustee would continue to collect repayments and distribute them to investors even if Vridi ceased operations.
What happens if a borrower defaults?
In the event of a borrower default, Vridi and the escrow trustee initiate recovery proceedings. Vridi's credit evaluation process is designed to minimize default probability, but does not eliminate it. Investors bear the credit risk of their chosen deals.
